Tactical Sound Control Technology™ protects you from gunshot noise while allowing you to communicate with others and hear the world around you.
How does it work?
Tactical Sound Control Technology™ uses omni-directional microphones to pick up outside sounds and amplifies them through your hearing protector, similar to a hearing aid or enhancer. Control buttons allow you to choose your preferred amplification level. This means you can wear hearing protection and still hear the world and those around you at a comfortable listening level. When outside noises e.g. gunshots, breach 85 db, Tactical Sound Control Technology™ responds by reducing the harmful sound down to help protect your eardrum.
How fast does TCS™ react?
TSC Technology™ is quick-acting. There are only 2 milliseconds between you and high-level protection. Wearing DEFY, you can continue to interact with your environment and still protect you from noise that could damage your hearing. DEFY ensures your safety but enables you to hear warning signals, approaching vehicles, friends and colleagues.

When should I use TSC™ Technology?
TSC Technology™ is great for a day at the range, competitive shooting or on a shoot. Gunshot noise will be dampened or restricted completely by TSC Technology™ while safe environmental sounds will be amplified.
In consistently loud environments, TSC Technology™ will block all sound until the outside noise falls below 85db. In these cases, we recommend turning TSC Technology™ completely off until you’re not longer in that environment.
